Senior Paid Search Specialist (SEM | PPC)
We are on the lookout for a paid search professional to join our pod!
The Opportunity
The role will involve devising in-depth media strategies that produce ROI for all of our clients. You'll be the lead for implementation and execution, as well as optimisation and reporting for your key accounts. You'll work within the broader alphawhale team to drive results, owning PPC management and analytics from campaign to campaign as well as at the account level.
You enjoy sharing your knowledge and take pride in uncovering and sharing the right recommendations with our clients to help them achieve their goals. You love collaborating with our team and exploring new ad tech as it becomes available.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing our client's pay-per-click campaigns Google Ads (Search, Display, Remarketing, Shopping). Your goal will be to drive the maximum number of conversions at the lowest acquisition cost possible to ensure maximum ROI for the client. We measure our success on results and not vanity metrics :)
Key responsibilities:
- In collaboration with Senior Management, develop and manage an appropriate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) structure for the Paid Search function.
- Lead the growth of the Paid Search function through a strong focus on ROI, ROAS and ability to manage campaigns and budgets effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve workflow and processes that impact the Paid Search function.
- Maintain communication between the Paid Search function and other marketing efforts to leverage and cross-pollinate innovation.
- Prepare reporting and feedback for Senior Management and Clients
- Perform key responsibilities of a paid search specialist for a portfolio of clients and internal campaigns.
- Setup, manage and optimise campaigns on Google Ads (search, shopping, display, mobile)
- Decode analytics to identify areas of opportunity and utilise conversion rate optimisation tactics (i.e. A/B, split-testing etc) to optimise ROI.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, forecast results and keep the team updated on your success and learnings.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the Paid Search industry to identify opportunities within Paid Search for the benefit of both the alphawhale and their clients.
The Candidate (you?):
The ideal candidate should have the following:
- Agency experience (preferable)
- 3+ years of PPC experience
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets or data studio experience
- Google Ads Editor Experience
- Proficiency with Google Tag Manager
- Excellent client liaison abilities
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing high performing Ads campaigns
- Google Ads & Analytics certified
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Data-driven decision making
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organisational skills
- Demonstrate project management skills and ability to multi-task when required
